Hey everyone, I'm having a weird issue with my Lenovo LOQ laptop running Windows 11. Every time I boot it up, my phone detects a Wi-Fi hotspot called Directzz-LAPTOP-M*******msEB, which I didn't set up myself. Whenever I manually turn on the laptop's hotspot, this strange one disappears, but I'm worried since I can't figure out how it's starting up in the first place. I've tried disabling nearby sharing and the quick share app, and I even unlinked my phone from the 'Phone Link' app. I checked the task manager, but I didn't notice any suspicious processes. Could this be a virus, or has anyone else experienced this? How can I stop it?

What you’re seeing is likely just a feature for casting to your laptop over a peer-to-peer network. It's not necessarily a bug—Windows can create these ad-hoc networks automatically for things like screen sharing. If you want to stop it, consider turning off sharing features in your settings.
