I built my PC just a month ago, and at first, the CPU temperatures were great and the fans were nearly silent. However, over the past few days, I've noticed that my CPU's idle temperatures have jumped to around 65 degrees Celsius. I'm using a Ryzen 9 9950X3D. Does anyone have any ideas about what could be causing this increase?

Just wondering, do you have an ASrock motherboard? If so, you might want to look into the combination of ASrock MB and the 9950X3D, as it can lead to some surprising results.
Honestly, that idle temperature isn’t too alarming for a 9950X3D. If even minor tasks are running, that chip can heat up pretty quickly. I wouldn’t worry too much unless it exceeds 90 degrees Celsius under load.
Exactly! Idle temps aren't a big deal as long as it stays within the safe zone when you're doing more intensive tasks.
That’s interesting! I’ve heard different things about idle temps. Is there a standard I should keep in mind?
You might want to check if there are any background programs running that could be stressing your CPU. If everything seems fine, consider remounting the cooler or reapplying thermal paste to ensure a tight fit.

Nope, I have a Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi, so I think I'm safe there.
