Why is my new SSD running at 100% and slowing down my PC?

I've recently upgraded to a new SSD on Windows 11, but it's been running at 100% usage and making my computer extremely sluggish. I'm not sure what's causing this issue or how to fix it. Has anyone else experienced something similar with their SSD?

What model of SSD are you using? Also, it might be helpful to download a monitoring app like CrystalDiskInfo. It can help you check the SSD's health status and confirm if it's really new or not.

I have CrystalDiskInfo and everything looks great!

Double-check where you purchased your SSD from. Did you get it from a well-known retailer? Sometimes the model can give clues about performance issues too.

If your SSD is new and running at high capacity, it might actually be a counterfeit. But if it's old, it might be slowing down because it's trying to fix errors. Check your Task Manager to see if any apps are overworking the disk. If you find something, that could be your culprit!

It’s from a reliable store, so I doubt it's fake.
