Why is my PC freezing when the CPU hits 100 degrees?

I've been having issues with my PC freezing randomly. After some testing, I noticed that it freezes within about 10 seconds of running Intel Burn Test, especially when the CPU temperature hits 100 degrees. Is there a way to resolve this without having to replace the CPU? Just for context, this problem started after I installed a new NVMe SSD, but I've tested the SSD with multiple programs and found no errors. Here's my setup: Intel i5-12400F, GeForce 1070, Aurum AU-600 power supply, Viper Patriot 32GB DDR4 RAM, and MSI H610G motherboard.

It sounds like your CPU cooler might not be up to par. Have you checked what cooler you're using? Upgrading to a better cooler could really help with those temperatures.

I’m not entirely sure about the cooler's model since it came with a pre-built system. It looks kind of old and resembles the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo.
