I got my first PC in February 2024, and at first, everything was running smoothly with a few games and FL Studio with some plugins. However, over the past year, I've added more games, apps, and plugins, and now the performance has noticeably dropped. Whether it's a demanding game like WWE 2K25 or something simple from 2018, everything stutters. I've updated my Nvidia graphics drivers and made sure Windows is up to date, but I'm still having issues. I've tried several settings changes in Windows and the Nvidia control panel, but nothing seems to help. I'm considering a factory reset to start fresh, but before I take that step, does anyone have suggestions for what might be causing this or if there's an easier way to clean up my PC? Thanks!

Hey! It sounds like you might need to tweak some settings. Have you checked your background processes? Sometimes, a lot of apps running in the background can slow your system down. Try disabling unnecessary startup programs and background apps to see if that helps. You can do this through the Task Manager under the Startup tab. Also, consider running a disk cleanup to clear temporary files.
What are your PC specs? Knowing what you’re working with can really help figure this out. If your hardware is getting outdated compared to the games and software you’re trying to run, that could be part of the problem. Plus, sometimes even the best drivers can have issues, so rolling back to a previous version could help, too!
Good point! You should also check your hard drive for errors. Running CHKDSK might improve performance if there are any underlying issues.
