I recently upgraded my setup from a 2080 Ti and a Ryzen 3900X to a Ryzen 5700X and a 9060 XT with 16 GB of RAM. However, I'm seeing disappointing performance in benchmarks compared to others. For instance, I'm only getting 60-80 FPS in Arc Raiders on medium settings, while I expected more like 100. Other games show similar inconsistencies; Minecraft runs fine with around 1200 FPS at medium render distance, but Cyberpunk 2077 struggles with about 60 FPS outside and 80 FPS indoors. I suspect my RAM might be the issue—it's a single-channel 32 GB at 2666 MHz and I can only run two sticks out of four due to booting problems. This has led me to wonder if there's a fault with my motherboard. Could this be affecting my performance significantly?

Honestly, it sounds like your RAM and motherboard just aren’t syncing well. Try turning off XMP or EXPO in BIOS, power down, and then install all four RAM sticks to see if it boots up normally. If not, it might indeed be time for a motherboard upgrade.
I think your RAM is a big part of the problem. Single-channel RAM is definitely a bottleneck, especially for Ryzen processors. You really should look into getting a matching set of dual-channel RAM—going with another 32 GB at 2666 MHz would help a lot.
But all my sticks work in slots one and two, so they're not faulty. Maybe there's another issue?“

I’ve already given that a shot. I might lower the MHz as the next step, but it feels like my old B450 Gaming X motherboard could be the culprit.
