I recently bought a second-hand HyperX Fury DDR4 8GB 3200 MT/s RAM stick. However, when I installed it alongside my existing built-in Acer RAM, my task manager shows the memory speed dropping to 2400 MT/s. Interestingly, when I remove the new stick, the speed goes back up to 3200 MT/s. My motherboard is an Acer N50-640, which doesn't support XMP. How can I get the RAM to run at 3200 MT/s with both sticks installed?

If you're looking for a solution, sometimes these settings need to be adjusted in your BIOS. Even if your motherboard doesn’t support XMP, check if there’s an option to set the RAM speed manually.
To really hit that 3200 MT/s speed, you'll need to find RAM with a 3200 MT/s JEDEC profile. Your current stick likely has a JEDEC profile, allowing it to reach that speed when it's alone, but the HyperX Fury might default to the XMP profile, which isn't being recognized by your system.
Normally, DDR4 RAM runs at speeds around 2400 or 2133 MT/s. The 3200 MT/s on the packaging is a rated speed, and since your motherboard doesn't support XMP, you're kind of stuck with the slower speed due to compatibility issues.
