I've been experiencing some strange problems with my Windows 10 PC lately. It's running noticeably slower, and sometimes it even hangs when I try to open the Task Manager. My TP-Link Nano WiFi adapter keeps disconnecting randomly, and when I attempt to access the Network & Internet Settings, the window opens but stays blank. Restarting takes forever too; it hangs on the "Restarting..." screen for over 30 minutes, forcing me to do a hard restart.
Additionally, in the Settings > About section, my processor details are completely missing, even though CPU-Z shows everything correctly. I recently ran a vulnerability scan, and it mentioned a huge 104GB update for June 2025 that seems way too big for my 256GB SSD, which only has 29GB of free space left.
Here are my specs: Intel i7-9700K CPU, Aorus Z390 Elite motherboard, 16GB Corsair DDR4 RAM, RX580 8GB GPU, and 256GB SSD for Windows and a 2TB HDD for storage. Any thoughts on whether this is a CPU issue, a corrupt OS, or perhaps something with my SSD? I'd really appreciate any advice or suggestions before I resort to formatting or swapping hardware.

About your missing processor info, that's suspicious! It might indicate a failing motherboard or something related to your system configuration. Also, that 104GB update size does seem off—there's typically no update that large. Keep an eye on your SSD's health too, as low space can affect performance significantly.
It sounds like you've got a mix of potential issues here. Firstly, make sure you've scanned for malware since sometimes that can cause all sorts of weird slowdowns. If that checks out, I’d suggest performing a clean install of Windows. Make sure to disconnect all existing drives during the process and use an old HDD if needed. That might help eliminate software-related causes and give you a clean slate.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll check for malware first and consider the clean install next.
