I recently noticed that on my Lenovo IdeaPad, even though I have 8 GB of RAM installed, about 4.6 GB is showing as hardware reserved. Is there any way to reduce the amount of RAM that's being hardware reserved?

Having 4.6 GB reserved isn't that bad considering some laptops can have even more! But if you're looking to reduce it, check if you're using a 32-bit or 64-bit OS. If it's 32-bit, that could be the issue. Also, adjusting video RAM settings in the BIOS might help, but be aware that options there can be limited. Just make sure your reserved memory doesn't go below what's necessary for your display resolution.
Is there a specific way to find the video RAM settings in BIOS?
