I've recently upgraded my graphics card to a 3080 Ti on my ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming computer, but it's not being recognized. Everything is properly connected, and I even updated the BIOS to the latest version. Previously, I had a 1080 that worked without issues. I've also done the device manager trick and checked for hidden devices, but no luck. The card's lights are on, but the fans aren't spinning. NVIDIA doesn't allow me to update drivers because it can't detect the card. Could the power supply be the problem? I'm getting a tester to figure it out, but I'd love to hear if anyone has thoughts on whether a 3080 Ti can even work in this older system.

First off, what power supply are you using? The wattage and cables can make a huge difference with a powerful card like the 3080 Ti. Make sure you’re using the right cables from the PSU to the GPU, too. It's common to overlook that part during upgrades! If you're not sure, running a power tester sounds like a smart move.

I'm using the same cables that connected the 1080. I'll check those with the tester. Thanks for the tip!
