Why isn’t my PC recognizing my SSD after a motherboard upgrade?

I recently upgraded my motherboard and CPU to a Ryzen 5 5600X on an ASRock B550 Pro4. However, when I tried to boot up, my computer couldn't find the boot drive. It detects my HDD, but not my M.2 SSD, which had been working perfectly with my previous motherboard. I've even reinstalled Windows, and it seems fine. I'm looking for advice on what might be causing this issue and how to resolve it.

You should definitely check your BIOS settings. When your computer starts, it usually shows keys like F2 or Del that you can press to enter BIOS. In there, you can see if the SSD is recognized. Make sure to confirm the boot order and check if there’s a BIOS update available. If it's still not showing up, try moving the M.2 SSD to a different slot if your motherboard has one.

Have you checked the installation of your M.2 SSD? Sometimes, a loose connection can cause it not to be detected. If you could post some pictures of the installation, it might help diagnose the problem better.
