I just assembled my new computer with an ASUS B850-I motherboard and a Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, along with 48GB of DDR5 RAM. However, whenever I power it on, it displays the ASUS logo and directly goes into the BIOS, without booting to an OS. I checked the BIOS version, which is 1022 from March 2025. It seems this version adds support for some newer processors but may not support my 7800X3D yet. I haven't updated the BIOS because it needs either USB Flashback or an older CPU. I'm curious about two things: Is it safe to leave the PC off until I can perform the BIOS update? And can anyone provide tips for using USB BIOS Flashback with my current setup? Thanks!

Your 7800X3D should actually be supported right out of the box. If you're getting into the BIOS, that means the CPU is recognized. You might just need to install an operating system like Windows 11 to get things running smoothly.
You should be fine keeping your PC powered off until you're ready to update the BIOS. It seems like your current setup should support the 7800X3D since you're getting into the BIOS. Just make sure to proceed with the BIOS update when you can.
To use USB BIOS Flashback, just turn off your PC, take the USB flash drive, format it to FAT32, copy the BIOS update file to it (make sure to rename it as per the motherboard's requirements), and follow the steps outlined in a video guide. It's generally pretty straightforward!
If you’re having trouble booting, try enabling CSM (Compatibility Support Module) in the BIOS. Sometimes that helps with newer hardware getting recognized properly.
Just a quick check: do you have a hard drive or SSD with an operating system installed? Are you trying to boot from USB to install the OS?
