Why won’t my RAM fit in my motherboard slots?

I'm building my first PC and ran into an issue with a 2x16GB kit of DDR5 RAM and my B650E-E Asus motherboard, which is supposed to support DDR5. When I try to insert the RAM sticks, the notch on the RAM doesn't align with the key in the slots. I've made sure to flip the sticks and line them up properly at the sides. You can see what I'm talking about in the pictures I linked. What could be going wrong? Is it possible that something got swapped or mispackaged? How can I figure this out? Am I just overthinking it?

Where did you get your RAM from? That can sometimes be a good clue if something’s off.

I ordered it from Amazon; they were the seller. I got it back in December, but it just arrived recently.

Have you tried using the black slots instead of the grey ones? Also, make sure the micro crucial side is facing towards the motherboard power cable side, just like in the first pics you shared.

Yes, I've checked that, and the alignment looks the same with the notch and key on all of them.
