I've just upgraded from an iPhone 14 to a 17. When I tried transferring data, it stopped because there wasn't enough storage, so I'm doing it manually now. I've already moved some photos and all my contacts to the new phone. I'm going through the remaining photos on my iPhone 14 and deciding which ones to send to the new phone while I delete the rest. My question is: if I delete photos from the iPhone 14 that are already saved on the iPhone 17, will they also delete from the iPhone 17? Both phones are linked to the same Apple ID, and they share some settings like Do Not Disturb. I plan to eventually clear out all the photos from the iPhone 14, but I'm not sure about the impact on the iPhone 17.

Also, make sure to confirm whether your photos are stored in iCloud or just on your phone. If they're in iCloud, deleting them from one will wipe them from all linked devices.
If you're using iCloud Photos on both devices, then yes, any image or video you delete from one will also be removed from the other. It's like they’re synced up! Just a heads-up, if you're not sure about iCloud, you might want to check your settings.
To check if you're using iCloud Photos, go to Settings, tap on your name at the top, then select iCloud. Look for Photos and see if iCloud Photos is enabled. If it is, that’s why deleted photos will sync across your devices!
