I recently built my first PC and accidentally dropped my CPU from just a few millimeters above the socket. I aligned it correctly before it fell, and after checking, I didn't see any visible damage to the motherboard pins. Do you think everything will be fine? Also, I was surprised by how much force was needed to remove the CPU cover!

Dropping it from that height should usually be fine. Just make sure you do the whole build with the fans and everything connected, since powering it on without all the parts isn't a good test.
You should be alright! The real test will be once you finish the build and try to power it on. If everything cycles correctly, you’re good to go. Some motherboards will even show a CPU light or error code if there's an issue.
Sounds good! I’ll wait for my RAM and PSU to arrive before I power it up.
