Hey folks, I'm in a bit of a panic and really need your advice. A few days ago, I started receiving tons of verification codes from Apple, and I got notifications that someone was trying to log into my Apple ID. At first, I kept hitting "don't allow" because I was busy, which I now realize was a big mistake. I just checked my email and found out that on June 13, someone changed my trusted number. Now, my Apple ID is completely locked, and I keep getting alerts to verify my email. When I tried to unlock my account, I saw that the trusted number was changed to one I don't even recognize, and my password was also changed. I can't even create a new Apple ID because I'm totally locked out; my device is activation locked and still asks for the original Apple ID. I'm stuck! I've tried everything I can think of, but since I can't access that number, I'm really at a loss. Has anyone dealt with this before? What should I do now?

Honestly, you might have to visit an Apple Store to resolve this. Bring a receipt or proof of ownership; it will help to show them it’s your device. They can assist you with restoring access to your account. Hang in there!
It sounds like you're in a tough spot. If you're hitting "don’t allow," I'm curious how the hacker managed to change your setup, because normally that shouldn’t happen unless you accept something. It might be that you clicked on something by mistake during all those notifications. When I faced this issue, I just changed my password immediately after getting those alerts, and that helped. Also, have you checked if you clicked any links in dodgy emails? I recommend contacting Apple Support as soon as possible to sort this out. And while you’re at it, remove any payment methods linked to your account if you can access them.
To be safe, take your device to an Apple Store if possible, especially if you have a receipt to prove it’s yours. They might be able to help you recover your account.

Yeah, it could be part of a larger hacking attempt. I had similar issues a couple of nights ago, but I managed to deny everything and change my password right away. Definitely get in touch with Apple Support and maybe check if your payment methods are still active.
