Hey everyone, I installed an SSD in my laptop some years back and initially, the speeds were fantastic. However, lately, I've noticed that during daily use, the performance has dropped significantly. I've run some speed tests, and the results are even lower than my HDD. My other SSD is working perfectly fine, so I'm not sure what the issue is. For context, I have an MSI GP76 12UGS with a Crucial P3 4TB SSD running Windows 10. I found this [image](https://imgur.com/a/ZYSWrVr) that shows the test results. As an edit, I realized my SSD is about 91% full, which could be affecting its performance. Even though I've kept it this way for a long time, the slowdown only started recently. Interestingly, this SSD is labeled as 4TB, yet it shows only 3.63TB of available space, while another 4TB SSD I have shows 3.72TB. I'm starting to think there might be some wear issues. Anyone have advice on how to fix this?

I get it, but comparing a brand new SSD to one that's nearly full might not be fair. If you want to boost speed, think about reinstalling Windows or cleaning up some files. SSDs love having extra space to operate efficiently!
Yeah, if your SSD is almost full, it could definitely be the culprit. SSDs slow down when they're close to capacity because of how data is managed, especially with wear leveling. To improve performance, consider uninstalling some programs or moving files to another drive. Keeping around 15-20% free is ideal.
It sounds like your SSD is quite full, which can definitely slow down performance. It's usually recommended to keep at least 15% of your SSD space free for optimal speed. Have you tried running a TRIM command? That might help with the speed issues!
