Best Linux Distro for an Old Dell Laptop

Hey everyone! I have this old Dell laptop from 2018 that has pretty low specs, possibly something like an AMD A4 processor that came out around 2016. Right now, it's struggling to run Windows 10, often maxing out the CPU. I don't really use it much and I'm looking to switch to Linux as my main operating system. I've heard that Linux can perform really well on older hardware, so I want some recommendations for a distro that's optimized for lower specs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to check out a few lightweight distros! Linux Mint is user-friendly and works well for beginners. Another great option is OpenSUSE Tumbleweed with the KDE desktop environment; it’s surprisingly light! Fedora is also nice and smooth, but be careful if you have an Nvidia GPU since it can complicate things—though there's plenty of documentation to help. Give them a shot and see what runs best on your old laptop!

A lot of people have success with Nvidia on Mint, but you might run into issues with other things like Wi-Fi or audio drivers. Just keep that in mind!
