Help: My PC Powers On But There’s No Display – What Could Be Wrong?

I'm having a frustrating issue with my PC and could really use some advice. The system powers on—fans are spinning and the GPU lights up—but I'm not seeing anything on the display, not even the BIOS. This morning, I had a similar problem but managed to fix it by swapping out the HDMI cable. I was able to enjoy a few hours of gaming in Elden Ring without a hitch. However, after I turned off my PC and tried to restart it later, the display issue returned and nothing seems to work. Here's what I've done to troubleshoot so far: I've replaced the CMOS battery, reseated the RAM in both DIMM slots, reseated the GPU, and confirmed that the HDMI is connected to the GPU, not the motherboard. I've even tried two different HDMI cables and used a brand new monitor. The new specs include a 27" 165Hz monitor, a GTX 1650 GPU, a 600W PSU, and 8GB of RAM, while the old parts are the motherboard and Ryzen 5 2600 CPU. The monitor just shows 'no signal' and stays black. I'm really worried that the motherboard or CPU might be failing. Any suggestions or things I might have overlooked? I'm really at my wits' end after trying to get this PC running smoothly again after years.

It sounds like you've done a lot of the basics already! Have you tried testing the components separately if possible? Sometimes, just swapping them into another system helps isolate the problem. I know it's tough since you mentioned this is your only setup, but that's usually a good approach!

Unfortunately, I don’t have spare parts or another setup to test. I'm stuck with what I've got.

If you're not getting any display at all, it could be a motherboard or CPU issue. Have you checked if the PSU is providing enough power to everything? Also, it might be worth removing all non-essential components to see if you can boot using just the CPU and one stick of RAM.

I’ll try that! Maybe simplifying it will help figure out what's wrong.
