Having Trouble with Docker on Windows 10 – Any Fixes?

I recently installed Docker on my Windows 10 computer, but now I'm facing a bunch of errors. The Docker Engine keeps showing 'stopped', and it can't fetch extensions. It's incredibly frustrating because I'm left with an icon in the system tray that doesn't seem to do anything. My system has about 8GB of free RAM out of 16GB. When I check the UI, everything is greyed out and it just feels like I'm stuck. Has anyone else experienced this, and do you have any solutions?

I totally get your frustration! Docker Desktop can be such a pain sometimes. I had a rough time with it too—it just throws tantrums out of nowhere. If you can, you might want to check out alternatives like running Docker on Proxmox or even WSL, which can be more stable. Just make sure your setup is minimal and clean. Good luck with it!

Looks like you're not alone! There seems to be a bug affecting Docker on Windows, as noted in this GitHub thread: [GitHub Issue](https://github.com/docker/for-win/issues/14794). It might help to switch to an environment where Docker runs natively if you ever get the chance. But since you're stuck with Windows for now, just try restarting Docker and see if that clears up the issue. Hang in there!

Thanks for the tip! I really appreciate it, but unfortunately, this is the only machine I have right now.
