Looking for Advice on Optimizing My PC Fan Setup

Hey everyone! I'm working on my fan configuration and would really appreciate some feedback to ensure I get the best airflow possible. Here's my current setup and what I'm planning:

**Current Setup (4 fans + stock CPU cooler):**
- 1 rear fan (exhaust)
- 3 top fans (exhaust)

**Planned Future Changes (once I upgrade my GPU and install an AIO cooler):**
- 1 rear fan (exhaust)
- 3 top fans (exhaust)
- 360mm CPU AIO cooler on the side (intake)
- Potentially adding 3 bottom fans (intake)

**Main Goal:** I want to optimize airflow and keep my GPU cool after the upgrades. Am I on the right track? Anything critical I might be missing?
I've attached some images of my case for reference:

Thanks in advance for any tips!

If this is mainly for gaming, I suggest keeping the AIO as exhaust on top if you can fit it. If side mounting is a must, make sure the hoses are at the bottom to avoid air pockets. Also, consider moving a couple of fans to the bottom or side for better airflow around the motherboard.

Thanks for the insights! Spreading the fans sounds like a good plan. I appreciate you breaking it down for me.

Your fan layout seems fine, but remember, top is exhaust and bottom/front is intake. If you only have 4 fans, try to maximize airflow by positioning them strategically. As long as your CPU and GPU temps stay manageable, the configuration is secondary.

What if I'm limited to just 4 fans total? Any suggestions for optimal placement?

About the AIO mounting, I’d recommend against side mounting it as intake. Having it there can pull in heated air from the case, which isn't ideal for CPU cooling. Top mounting usually helps with exhaust, as it pushes hot air out effectively.

Good point! I was thinking the AIO as intake would cool it with fresher air, but it makes sense to avoid pulling in warm air too. Do you have alternative setups in mind?
