I recently upgraded my internet plan from 250 Mbps to 1 Gbps, which came with a new router since my old one could only handle 100 Mbps. I've set up the new router by connecting the WAN cable they provided into the wall and used a modern Ethernet cable that supports up to 1000 Mbps for my PC. However, I'm confused because the router's configuration page shows the WAN port only capable of 100 Mbps. I have a screenshot showing that port 1 is at 1000 Mbps, but the WAN port is still showing 100 Mbps. When I do a speed test, I'm only getting speeds between 94 and 97 Mbps. What could be the issue?

Also, consider checking what’s connected on the other side of the wall. Sometimes, the issue can be the equipment or the setup on your ISP's end. If they have an older setup, it might only support 100 Mbps.
It sounds like the WAN cable you received might be faulty or just not capable of handling those higher speeds. Check if you can swap it out for a different cable, ideally one that's labeled as Cat6 or above, which should support Gigabit speeds.
