Is my PC part list solid and is an 850W PSU too much for a 5070 Ti?

Hey everyone! I'm putting together a PC and want to get your thoughts on my parts list. I'm planning to go with a CPU: 7800X3D, a GPU: ASUS PRIME GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB GDDR7 OC (I've switched from the PALIT version due to some concerns about fan noise), a motherboard: MSI Mag B650 Tomahawk, RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB Dual DDR5-6000MHz 32GB (2x16GB), CPU cooler: FSP AE24-B 240mm, and a PSU: FSP VITA BD 850W 80+ Bronze. My main questions are, is my part selection good, and is 850W overkill for the 5070 Ti?

I don't think 850W is too much at all! It’s usually better to have some headroom in case you upgrade down the line. You really want reliable power delivery, so don't skimp on that!

Absolutely! A little extra power isn't a bad thing. Better safe than sorry!

I’d also recommend looking for PSUs with at least Gold certification. You've spent a fair amount on the other components, so don’t compromise on something so crucial like the PSU. Corsair has some great options out there. Just make sure it's a reputable brand!

FSP is good too! They don't market as much, but they have solid products. You might want to go with the Gold after all!

850W is more than enough for your setup. A 5070 Ti can run fine on a 750W supply, but I recommend sticking with a well-reviewed PSU. The FSP 850W Gold is a solid choice if you can switch to that—it’s highly rated. Also, while an AIO cooler is decent, a good single slot fan should suffice for the 7800. Going with the extra power does help in terms of future-proofing your build.

True! If you're spending this much already, why not be safe with the PSU? The new connectors are definitely a plus too.

Exactly! Plus, I went with the Gold model myself—definitely worth the extra cash for peace of mind.
