I'm curious about the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam. Is it primarily scenario-based, or does it focus more on straightforward questions like "What does Lambda do?" or "How can you run EC2 instances without self-provisioning?" I want to get a better idea of what the exam will be like.

Overall, the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam is a solid entry-level assessment. It expects you to have a good overview of various AWS services and understand how they connect. Most questions are scenario-based, but they're usually pretty straightforward. I’ve seen non-technical colleagues pass it with ease, and we often use 'Tutorial Dojo' practice exams which are super helpful. One downside is that about 15% of the questions dive into marketing fluff about the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework, which I think is unnecessary for a foundational exam.

I get that. I've accepted that I might not ace the parts related to AWS principles and other marketing material. But since this exam is crucial for my career advancement, I have to tackle it.

It's a bit of both! I recommend taking some practice tests to prepare. Generally, the exam is pretty manageable, and I found it easier than I expected.

I'm scoring around 80% on practice tests without much prep. Just a heads up though, practice exams might not fully reflect the real test, so I'm also curious about the actual format.
