I'm looking to upgrade my GPU from the RTX 3060 and I want something that can handle gaming at 1440p with around 100fps or more. My setup includes an i7 12700F, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and 1.5TB of storage. I have a 1440 monitor that supports up to 165Hz. I'm not streaming, just gaming, mainly graphic-intensive solo games. Would a 9070 XT or a 5070 Ti be sufficient, or should I invest in a 5080? I'd prefer not to spend on a 5080 if the others can keep up, but I'm also interested in ray tracing and fine with FSR and frame generation. I'll also be upgrading my power supply when I get the new GPU.

If ray tracing is important to you, then the 5070 Ti is a solid choice. Just keep in mind your DDR4 RAM might hold you back in some scenarios. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend going higher than the 9070 non-XT with your current setup.
Techpowerup has some nice reviews comparing these cards across different resolutions, including 1440p. Might help you visualize their performance better!
Could you share the link to that?
For 120-240Hz gaming, consider the 4070 or 5070 Ti. My 4070 gets all AAA games running at least 144fps on high settings, and some can even hit up to 240fps! Trust me, upgrading to 1440p from 1080p is a huge jump regardless of the settings.
The 5070 Ti is excellent for 1440p. Honestly, you could probably go with the base 5070 if you're looking to save some cash. DLSS really boosts performance for higher frame rates without sacrificing visuals too much, although the extra VRAM in the 5070 Ti might help with the latest AAA games.
Good point about VRAM, I need that for future titles!
For 1440p gaming, you can't go wrong with the 5070 Ti or 9070 XT. They're more than capable of handling that resolution at high settings. Just make sure your power supply can support the new GPU!
I'm actually upgrading my PSU too when I get the new card!
What CPU are you running with that?
But isn’t the i7 12700F still a powerful CPU?
