Hey everyone! I'm in the process of upgrading my setup and currently have a Ryzen 5 4600G as a temporary solution. I'm looking to get an RX 7600 graphics card and I've seen that AMD recommends a 600W power supply. However, I already have a 500W PSU, so I'm wondering if it would still work for the RX 7600. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, a 500W PSU should work fine for the RX 7600, but there’s always someone who will say you need a more powerful one for future-proofing. Just to give you a reference, the RX 7600 has a power draw of around 165 watts according to Tech Power Up. You should be good if your PSU is reliable!
The crucial thing you need to check is the 12V rail rating on your PSU. Some 500W units might not deliver enough power. You can calculate the max output by multiplying volts and amps. For instance, if your PSU provides 38A at +12V, that's around 456W, which could work! Just ensure it's a good quality unit to avoid problems.
Mine is rated for 38A on the +12V rail as well; should be good for the RX 7600!
I used a PSU meter, and it showed I was pulling around 420 watts with my setup as well, so I think you'd be alright!
