Is Quantum Computing Being Used in Real-World Applications?

Honestly, I believe most applications are just theoretical for now. It’s an exciting field, but most of the work is experimental and not yet applicable in everyday tech.

I mean, I've heard about some potential projects, but they seem pretty distant currently. Some people joke that the programming will eventually be as simple as Z80 syntax, but that’s just a laugh, right?

Not really, it seems like quantum computing is still mostly in the hands of researchers. While there have been some buzz about "quantum supremacy," nothing has really been done that’s useful in a practical sense yet.

I would say the most notable efforts are still in development, mainly focused on research. Some speculate that hacking into secure systems might be one of the first real uses, but that’s still a ways away.
