Hey everyone! I graduated last year in Multiplatform Application Development (DAM) and I've been job hunting since September. I think my lack of work experience might be holding me back. I'm focused on specializing in Python and I'm looking for suggestions on how to gain some practical experience. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Have you considered creating some projects for your GitHub? If you haven't done this yet, try working on something interesting related to the field you want to enter. Treat your projects like a job: add features, promote them, and use them to showcase your skills. Blogging about your work can also help demonstrate your understanding and writing abilities. Basically, do the kind of work you want to get hired for, but in a public space!

Yes, I started a repo recently, but I’m struggling a bit with inspiration. I want to avoid typical projects; something unique would be ideal!

If you're into games, consider making something with Pygame! Alternatively, you could explore web projects, though I personally prefer Node.js and React over Python for that—just a thought!

Working on open-source projects can be an excellent way to build experience and enhance your GitHub profile. You'll tackle real-world issues and show potential employers your skills in action! Plus, it's a great learning opportunity by collaborating with other developers.
