I'm looking to build a PC that I want to connect to my TV, using it just like a console with a gamepad. The goal is to avoid using a keyboard as much as possible and to minimize getting up while using it. Is this achievable, and what steps would I need to take? I usually use platforms like Steam, Epic Games, Game Pass, GOG, and Ubisoft.

If you're looking at budget options, the Steam Deck could be a good fit since it docks to the TV and acts like a console too. You might want to consider if that's a route you're willing to take.
You can definitely do this! Using Steam Big Picture mode or even SteamOS would be your best bet since it lets you add non-Steam games to your library easily. This way, you can control everything through your gamepad. It's pretty much designed for the console-like experience.
Any gaming PC running Windows can work just fine for this setup when connected to your TV via HDMI. You can use either a wired or wireless controller, depending on what you're comfortable with! It’s possible, but you'll need to tweak some settings. I found a couple of helpful videos that guide you through setting everything up: [Video 1](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpki1IcjinU) and [Video 2](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biJUt8EgaC0). They cover what you need to do to make your PC act like a console.
That's a neat idea! Just trying to find the best way that fits my existing setup.
