Hey everyone, I'm in a tough spot with my Windows PC. Out of nowhere, it stopped accepting my password at login, and I've tried many times to get it right. I even checked the keyboard layout and tried the on-screen keyboard, but nothing seems to work. To make things worse, when I try to access the recovery options like System Restore, Command Prompt, or Safe Mode, it keeps asking for my password again — which it refuses to accept! I feel totally locked out since I can't use any recovery tools because they all require that elusive password.

Do you have the BitLocker key? If you do, you might be able to bypass the password issue and access the command prompt directly. That could help you reset your password and regain access to your system.
Your next steps depend on whether you were signing in with a Microsoft account or a local account. If it’s a Microsoft account, you can reset your password right from the login screen. For a local account, you’ll need to create a USB installer, boot from it, and enable the built-in administrator account to reset your password. Just a heads up, this method will invalidate any saved passwords in your Windows credential manager!
You might want to check out a tool called CHNTPW. It can help reset your password, but you might need some guidance on how to use it if you're new to this stuff. It’s relatively straightforward once you get the hang of it!
I assume if BitLocker is installed, this won't work?
How do I use it, I’m kind of new to this.
