Can I Add My Old SSD to My New PC Without Issues?

I recently got an SSD with Windows and my files from my old PC, and now I want to install this old drive in my new PC, which already has a functioning Windows boot drive. I'm hoping to avoid any complications and don't want to go through the hassle of copying files over. Is it safe to install the old SSD alongside the new one without running into problems?

Yeah, you can definitely add your old SSD! Just make sure that your existing boot drive is the first in the boot order settings. I’d also recommend backing up any important files from your old drive, just in case!

Just a heads-up, the boot order thing is a bit different these days. Most modern systems use UEFI, and they rely on Windows Boot Manager, not just the physical drive order. So even with your old drive connected, it shouldn’t mess up your boot process because it won’t match the unique identifier Windows looks for.
