Hey everyone! I'm considering investing in a mini PC for gaming, specifically to play Warframe. I've looked up the minimum specs needed for the game, which are Windows 7 64-Bit, an Intel Core i7-860 or AMD FX-4170 processor, 4 GB RAM, a DirectX 11 compatible graphics card, 50 GB hard drive space, and a broadband internet connection. I came across a mini PC model [here](https://www.amazon.com/GMKtec-Nucbox-K6-5600MHz-PCIe4-0/dp/B0DJSBD6XQ/) that I'm interested in, but I'm not super tech-savvy. I'd love to hear your opinions if it meets the requirements and if you think it's a good choice!

If you're just looking to game on Warframe, I'd suggest saving that money for a console like an Xbox or PS5 instead. But if you want the mini PC for its versatility, consider building or buying a used one for around $600. It will run Warframe better and handle more demanding games at 1080p. If space is a concern, you could go for a Mini ATX build, which is compact but way more powerful than a typical mini PC.
Hey, I’d like to go the portable route too, I need something I can easily move around.
Honestly, those minimum specs are easy to meet. A used Dell OptiPlex is just $80 on eBay and would work for your needs without overspending on a mini PC. Just make sure it will deliver the performance you want.
Do you think this Mini ATX build I found could work too? I could pair it with a portable monitor!
Yeah, that could be a solid option!
With the right settings, the integrated graphics should run Warframe at playable frame rates. You can get around 40fps in 4K according to some benchmarks. So if you stick to lower resolutions, it should work fine.
Check out this PC I found. It's a better option for the price: [Beelink SER8](https://www.amazon.com/Beelink-SER8-PCle4-0-Computer-Support/dp/B0F3JFTFHT). It's slightly better than the one you asked about.
What makes it better? Any specific features I should be looking at?
Looks like this one supports triple display, so that's a plus!
Do you really need a mini PC? They often have serious drawbacks, especially for gaming. The one you've found is more like a laptop without a screen. It doesn't have a dedicated GPU, just decent integrated graphics. If you're thinking about high settings or 4K gaming, this won't cut it. A used desktop with a $50 GPU will outperform that mini PC by a long shot.
I get that, but I've found mini PCs are usually better than laptops for the same price. Plus, I already have peripherals!
I'm interested in a Mini ATX build too. What is it exactly? Is it portable?
