Why is my CPU overheating at 182 degrees on the homescreen?

Hey everyone! I've got a Corsair AIO liquid cooler that I've been using for about two years now, but recently my PC has been crashing quite a bit. As I started to troubleshoot, I discovered that my CPU is overheating—like, dangerously so! When I checked the BIOS, it looks like the pump is functioning, but the CPU temperature is still sky-high. My friend built this PC for me and I'm pretty new to this whole thing. Any advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

Just a heads up, CPU temperatures are displayed in Celsius, and if you're seeing a reading of 182 degrees, that's definitely concerning! However, 83 degrees Celsius (which might be what you meant) is high too, but not necessarily causing constant crashes. Still, you need to address that overheating to prevent damage.

I wasn't sure why I wrote 182—BIOS showed 70 C for me.
