Is My PC at Risk from Electrocution Issues?

Hey everyone! I recently moved into an older building, and I'm noticing some weird electrical issues with my PC. The monitor occasionally goes black for a few seconds, and when I touch the side of my keyboard, I feel a slight electric shock. This started happening with my Razer BlackWidow TKL, and now I've got a full aluminum keyboard (Ynuzii AL80) that's experiencing the same problem. I switched to a 2.4GHz dongle instead of using a wired connection, which seems to have solved the shock issue, but I'm really worried about whether my PC is at risk. I have a decent Tier B power supply, but should I be concerned?

I totally agree, it’s likely not your power supply but a grounding problem. Get an electrician to check the outlets; a system without proper grounding could be at risk for damage. For now, turn off your PC and unplug it from the outlet until you sort this out. And consider replacing any daisy chain extension cords you’re using—they can add to the risk.

I had a similar problem when I moved! After checking, I found out the grounding was off too. Definitely safer to unplug it for now.

Good point! I had shocking experiences too. Grounding can really affect your setup!

It sounds like you might have a grounding issue with your power sockets. Definitely check that out first. If there's no proper grounding, it could be a serious safety hazard for both you and your electronics. I'd recommend getting a qualified electrician to take a look.
