Hey everyone! I've had this PC for about 5 years now, and it's been great, but it's starting to struggle with newer games unless I set everything to low graphics at 1080p. I've been playing games like Kingdom Come Deliverance and the Oblivion Remaster, and honestly, it's just not cutting it anymore.
I think the GPU, RAM, and SSD need an upgrade, but I might also need to replace the motherboard for that. Should I just go all in and build a new one instead? If I end up building a new PC, I'd probably give this old one to a family member.
Can I pull off some significant upgrades for under €500? Or should I just accept that I'll need to upgrade again in a couple of years and invest in a new build, which might set me back between €1,000 and €2,000?
And while I'm at it, I'm also interested in a smaller form factor case since I previously built a Mini-ITX for my wife and loved how compact and neat it looked. What sacrifices (if any) am I looking at for performance or cost if I aim for a smaller case?
Here's what I currently have:

Honestly, just upgrading your GPU and CPU could do wonders! If you grab a decent GPU, you should see a good boost in performance while keeping your current setup mostly intact.
Right? I was looking at the Ryzen 5 7600X, but I realized it won't work with my current motherboard or DDR4 memory.
