Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to start a tech degree soon, but I'm feeling a bit lost about which path to take. I'm interested in various fields like data science, cybersecurity, software engineering, and computer science. Here are my options at Curtin University: 1) Bachelor of Science in Data Science (and possibly advanced science honors if I score between 80-100%), 2) Bachelor of IT (with a chance to transfer to Bachelor of Computing - focusing on either software engineering or cybersecurity - if I score 75-80% in my first semester/year), 3) Bachelor of IT (and then transfer to Bachelor of Advanced Science in Computing if I get 80-100%). My main interests lie in cybersecurity and data science. I'm hearing mixed opinions: some people are pushing for data science, while others say computer science offers more flexibility if I decide to switch careers. Any advice you can give me? Really appreciate it! 🙏😊

If you're looking for flexibility and aren't completely sure about your future, I recommend going for IT or Computer Science. You'll still have the option to specialize in cybersecurity or data science later, plus it'll open up more career opportunities for you!
