Is there an easy way to transfer files to my new PC’s SSD?

I'm upgrading my entire PC, moving from a build I made in 2018 to a brand new setup. I've got a new 4TB SSD ready to go, but I'm unsure how to transfer all my files from my old 500GB SSD and 2TB HDD. I want the new SSD to be my main drive, which means I need to move Windows there too. Cloning feels daunting, so I'm looking for simpler options. Any advice?

If you're installing Windows on the new drive, you won't need a new license as long as you're using the same version you had on your old PC. It’s actually possible to use Windows 10 or 11 for free during installation, just keep in mind that the full activation features might be limited until you activate it with a valid key.

Thanks for clarifying! That makes the process sound less stressful.

A straightforward approach is to install Windows fresh on the new SSD. After that, you can just connect your old drives to the new PC and transfer over the files you need. This way, Windows will be set up correctly on the new drive, and you should avoid any potential issues.
