I'm in search of a solid internal communication app that would work well for our team of about 60 employees. We're particularly looking for features like direct messaging between colleagues, group chat capabilities, a central feed to share company announcements and alerts, and tools for managing tasks and forms. If you have any suggestions for tools that are user-friendly and not too expensive, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Have you considered open-source options? I remember someone mentioning a self-hosted chat server before. Rocket.Chat might do the trick; it has a lot of the features you're looking for, and it’s customizable!
I highly recommend Microsoft Teams! It's great for all the features you're looking for and integrates well with other Microsoft tools if you're already in that ecosystem. Plus, it's pretty easy to use for direct messaging and group chats.
For me, Slack is a close second to Teams. Many companies go with Slack for its ease of use and friendly interface, plus it handles group chats and announcements easily!
If you’re using Microsoft 365, Teams is definitely the way to go. You can even add Microsoft Planner for managing tasks, which might fit your needs perfectly. Otherwise, Google Chat is also a decent alternative!
