Hey everyone! I've been considering a full upgrade for my PC for a while now, but after recently losing my ex and quitting smoking, I really want to refresh my setup. My GTX 1060 has served me well, but it's time to let it go and clean things up. I'm really missing out on games like Satisfactory since the UE5 update, and my performance in Timberborn and Captain of Industry makes it hard to maintain large colonies (I'm dropping below 10 fps). I'm also eyeing a few other games in my backlog like BG3, Helldivers 2, Sekiro, Shadow of the Erdtree, Sniper Elite 5, and Cities Skylines 2. I feel like 1080p is fine for me now since my vision isn't what it used to be.
I've got some savings set aside and I'm finally ready to upgrade, especially since I want to dive into Nightreign. I've been out of the loop on hardware for a bit, though, so I could use some advice. Here's what I've put together so far:

Nice build! I have an improved version I think you'd like better for gaming. The PSU is on sale too. Here’s an alternate list:
[PCPartPicker Alternate List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NbzXqH)
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D (Great for gaming!)
- **Motherboard:** ASRock B650 Pro RS WiFi
- **GPU:** Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 9070 16GB
- **Power Supply:** ADATA XPG CYBERCORE 1000W (You might not need this much, but it gives room for upgrades)
Check it out!
Hey! I get what you mean about wanting a fresh start. For your CPU, I suggest going with a Ryzen 7800X3D instead of the 7950X. It's a better choice for gaming right now. For SSDs, make sure the ones you choose have DRAM cache as it's crucial for performance. I also recommend looking into the 9060 XT or the 5060 Ti for your GPU; you might find better value there!
Thanks bro, I appreciate the tips!
Definitely consider the 9060 XT with 16GB; it's a solid option. Also, check if your SSD is TLC or QLC since you want a TLC for longevity. The WD SN5000 series is a great pick. By the way, an 850W power supply might be overkill for your setup. Just a thought!
Okay sounds good, thanks. I just wanted to be sure I had enough power!
Oh nice, thanks for the suggestions!
