Help! My New PC Build is Showing No Signal on the Monitor

Hey everyone! I'm a bit stuck with my first PC build and hoping someone can help. I connected my monitor via HDMI to the GPU, but all I see is a 'no signal' message. My setup includes an AMD Ryzen 7 5700X CPU, an XFX Radeon RX 7700 XT GPU, MSI B550-A Pro motherboard, and other components. Everything seems powered on since the lights on the GPU and motherboard are lit, but I'm not sure if I set things up correctly. Before turning it on for the first time, I updated the BIOS to the latest version, which was necessary to recognize my CPU. Could this have caused my issue? I'd really appreciate any tips on what to check next! Here are my specs:

- GPU: XFX Radeon RX 7700 XT Qick 319
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
- Motherboard: MSI B550-A Pro
- Power Supply: MAG A750GL PCIE5
- SSD: 2TB Crucial P3 Plus M.2 2280
- RAM: (2x 16GB) G.Skill RipJaws V

This might be a simple oversight. Since you've updated the BIOS, just make sure that the update completed properly. Sometimes things can go wrong during that process, especially if the motherboard doesn't support the latest BIOS for your CPU right out of the box. If you think the update caused problems, you might consider rolling back to an older version if possible. Also, inspect your CPU installation carefully—make sure everything is seated correctly and look for any bent pins.

Great point! I’m hoping the update didn't complicate things further. I’ll keep an eye on the CPU seating just to be safe!

Sounds like a classic newbie issue, but don't worry! First, verify that your monitor is set to the correct HDMI input. If your monitor only supports HDMI, you might want to consider trying a different cable or method of connection. Also, ensure that your GPU has all necessary power connectors attached. If things don’t improve, try resetting the BIOS by taking the CMOS battery out for a minute. This can sometimes resolve strange hardware issues. Lastly, check if your GPU is seated properly—gently reinsert it if you have to!

Thanks for the tips! I’ve checked the input and everything looks correct. I'll definitely try reseating the GPU again and will attempt the CMOS battery removal.
