Hey everyone, I just picked up a new ABS Eurus Ruby prebuilt gaming PC, but I'm running into some frustrating issues. While Minecraft runs perfectly, I can't get Fortnite or Dead Space (2023 Remake) to launch at all. Here are my specs: Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, ASRock RX 9070 XT GPU with 16GB VRAM, 32GB DDR5 RAM, and a 2TB NVMe SSD with Windows 11 Home installed.

I've already installed the appropriate AMD GPU drivers manually and made sure Windows is up to date. I also connected via Ethernet and installed the games via their official launchers. However, I've yet to touch anything like chipset drivers or BIOS settings because I don't fully understand them yet. It's really disheartening given how much I invested in this setup. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

For overlay issues, if you have Discord or any other apps running that might use overlays, try disabling them. Discord can often conflict with game launches, so head into its settings and turn off both the Game Overlay and Legacy Overlay options. You might find that easier than you think!

Have you checked if your motherboard BIOS is updated? I had a similar issue when I got my setup, and updating the motherboard BIOS solved it for my games. It’s worth a shot!

Since you're new to all this, it might be good to learn how to troubleshoot things yourself. There are plenty of resources out there. A quick search for ‘Fortnite not starting’ will lead to lots of potential fixes, like driver updates, verifying game files, or running the game as an administrator. It really helps to know how to solve these issues—it’s more rewarding than just taking suggestions from forums!

Just a heads-up, always back up your data before making changes to BIOS or other system settings. I learned that the hard way! But in your case, checking the BIOS could really make a difference, especially if everything else seems fine.

First things first, make sure your monitor is plugged into the graphics card ports and not the motherboard. It's a common mistake! Once that’s taken care of, can you tell us what happens when you try to launch the games? Any error messages would help us troubleshoot further.

It was actually plugged into the motherboard! Thanks for pointing that out.
