I've noticed that some laptops used by my team are working fine most of the time. However, once a Windows update hits, strange issues crop up. Users can't connect to Wi-Fi, the computers become sluggish, or some applications start misbehaving. Has anyone experienced something similar?

This has been an issue with Windows updates for years. It seems like every time they roll something out, there's a chance things will break.
There are times Microsoft releases updates that cause problems, especially if the system has skipped updates for a while. A recent cumulative update actually broke DHCP for some users. Best practice is to manage updates with tools like WSUS or Intune to control what gets pushed out, which helps avoid these kinds of issues.
I've seen this happen even with Windows 10. If an update sits there too long without a restart, things can go haywire. Usually, applying the update and rebooting clears up the problems.
I had no idea that was a common issue. I thought I was doing something wrong. Guess I just have to accept that these problems might happen!
