Hey everyone! I recently got a new iPad for work and set it up without an Apple ID or passcode, thinking it could be used by anyone. However, after a week or two of no one using it, it's now asking for a passcode that I didn't set. I'm at a loss for what to do next! Any suggestions?

If it's a work device, you might want to check in with your IT department. Sometimes companies manage devices with Mobile Device Management (MDM), and they could help you out with this situation.

It sounds like someone must have put a passcode on the iPad while it was sitting unused. You have a couple of options here: try to get the passcode from anyone who might have used it, or you could restore it to factory settings to start fresh. Just keep in mind restoring will erase everything on it.

I can’t seem to figure out how to restore it, especially since I don’t have an Apple ID linked to it.
