I've recently noticed some really strange activity across my accounts. Two days ago, my Instagram started posting random videos that I didn't upload, and then I saw that my Steam credit was used to buy something related to Dota 2. Today, I realized my Facebook was listing items on Marketplace without my permission, and even my username and location were changed. I thought I was playing it safe by not clicking on any suspicious links, but it seems like something has slipped through. I've already changed all my passwords and set up two-factor authentication, plus I'm using an authenticator app. I'm concerned this might be a malware issue, especially since Malwarebytes found and quarantined a trojan and some other malware. However, my Facebook got hacked just two days later! I really need guidance on how to secure my accounts and stop this from happening. Thanks in advance!

The best move is to use a different, clean PC to set up new accounts and change all your passwords. Even if you've quarantined malware, there might still be remnants in your system. Make sure to keep your security software updated and perform regular scans.
First off, make sure to change all of your passwords again, and do it from a safe computer that you know isn’t infected. I recommend doing a full clean install of Windows 11—if you're not sure how to do that, check the official installation guide. It's a solid way to ensure everything starts fresh. Also, don’t forget to use a password manager and enable two-factor authentication on all your accounts!
Just an FYI, there have been a ton of password leaks recently—16 billion in total! While it might seem personal, it could be that your data's been part of previous breaches. Just be super careful about what you run on your devices, as many hacks happen because of small mistakes people make online.
Was it just this week when the leaks happened?
What if I can't do a full clean install of Windows 11 but I've changed all my passwords?
