I'm trying to move my photos and videos from my iPod to my laptop. I've connected the iPod using the USB charger, but it says, "iPod is disabled. Connect to iTunes." When I try to use iTunes, it says, "iTunes is waiting for Windows update to install the driver for this iPod." I'm not sure how to solve this and get my files transferred. Any tips?

First, check if you have any pending Windows updates that might need to be installed. Sometimes, your iPod won't connect properly if the drivers aren't updated. Just go to your Windows Updates and see what's up!
Just a heads up, if your iPod is showing "iPod Disabled - Connect to iTunes," it might mean you'll lose your existing data if you need to enter Recovery Mode. Make sure you have iTunes and all Windows updates installed. You could also check the Microsoft Store for the "Apple Devices" app which can help install necessary drivers. Just remember, if it's asking you to connect to iTunes, there’s a chance your data might be at risk!
Yeah, and the app's reviews mention it doesn’t always recognize the iPod, which could complicate things.
I think you're mistaken; he mentioned iPod, not iPad.
