Is 32GB of 3200MHz RAM good enough in 2025?

I'm considering upgrading my RAM from 16GB to 32GB, both at 3200MHz, since that's the highest my MSI Pro H610M-G DDR4 motherboard can support. While it might seem like a modest increase, I want to know if this upgrade will be worthwhile in 2025. Anyone have thoughts on this?

32GB at 3200MHz is really all you need for a DDR4 setup. It will feel a lot better compared to 16GB, especially in gaming. Don’t sweat it too much!

You could potentially run 3600MHz RAM with some tweaks if you're adventurous, but since your motherboard caps at 3200MHz, sticking with that is smart. I got a decent price on my RAM during the holidays too, so keep an eye on deals!

Yeah, 32GB should be more than sufficient! Just make sure you pick a kit with low CAS latency for better performance.

Upgrading from 16GB to 32GB sounds like a solid move. Right now, 32GB is the sweet spot for many users, so you should be good!

Thanks for the reassurance!

I have kids using 32GB of 3200MHz RAM, and it works great. I plan on maxing out their boards soon too, so I’d say go for it!
