I was trying to install my RAM sticks and they fit into the slots but the locks didn't snap into place automatically. I ended up closing them manually. Is this a problem, or is it safe to leave them as they are?
Edit: I took them out and put them back in. This time, the locks clicked into place by themselves. I guess I just wasn't pushing down hard enough. Looks like I'm a bit of a coward when it comes to this stuff!

If you're unsure, eject them and push them in until you hear a click. You could risk damaging them if they're not in right, and things might just fail to work until you get it sorted. RAM can be super finicky, so it's essential to make sure it's done properly!
Some motherboards only require one latch to click in while the other may need a manual push. Make sure the RAM is fully seated so you can't see the golden contacts from the side. That's how you know it's snug!
Each slot on this motherboard only has one lock, yes. I did push them down, and the locks moved slightly but didn’t fully click. Still, I can’t see the gold parts, so it might be seated properly.
Most DIMM sticks have two notches on the ends. If the latch tab is sitting in the bottom notch, that means the RAM isn't fully installed. If it's in the top notch, you're good to go. But hey, if you helped it close while pushing down like you did, that should be just fine!
I think I'll reinstall them just to be sure. I'm really unsure about the right way to install this, so redoing it can't hurt. Thanks for your input!
Thanks a lot for the heads up!
