Which Azure Certification Should I Start With If I’m Already AWS Certified?

I'm transitioning to Azure from AWS and have already earned my AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (SAA). Since I'm aiming to get hands-on experience with Azure, including setting up load balancers, virtual networks, infrastructure for apps, and cost optimization, I'm looking for recommendations on which Azure certification to pursue next. What would be the best starting point for someone with my background?

Yeah, I recommend AZ-104 as well. It sets you up for future expert certifications like AZ-305 and AZ-400. Just keep in mind, it's a bit tougher than the other fundamentals. If you're curious about basics, the AZ-900 is pretty straightforward but not essential since you've got AWS experience.

If your sights are set on a Solutions Architect role, AZ-305 is the certification you’ll want to aim for after AZ-104. Just remember, you need to have AZ-104 under your belt first as a prerequisite.

I'd say the AZ-104 Azure Administrator certification is the way to go. It’s a solid starting point that builds on your existing knowledge without being too basic. Just a heads up though, it's a bit challenging and will require a good amount of study.

If you've never actually worked with Azure before, maybe consider the fundamentals first. Just so you can get familiar with the service names and concepts.

I think looking at AZ-900 might not hurt, at least for getting a general overview of the services. But if that seems too easy, jump straight into AZ-104!

For you, AZ-104 should definitely be the next step. No need for AZ-900 since you already grasp the fundamentals. Make sure to check out resources like John Savill's videos and the ultimate resource guide on Reddit—they're really helpful!
