Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a bind. My iPhone 12 has been locked for over a year because I kept entering the wrong password. Despite trying to fix it using my laptop, I haven't had any luck. I'm wondering if I can just walk into an Apple Store and get some help with this situation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You can try going to iCloud.com and using the 'Find My iPhone' feature to erase your device. This will reset your iPhone, so you'll start fresh, but it's a viable option if you don't need what's currently on it.
Restoring the phone through recovery mode on a computer is another option. The staff at the Apple Store can assist you with that, just be ready with your Apple ID and password.
Unfortunately, there's no way to bypass the lock once your phone is locked. Your best bet is to erase it and restore from a backup—if you have one. Just make sure you know your Apple ID and password!
I've accepted that I'll lose everything too, so I just want a way to start again.
Yeah, I get it. That’s why I’m asking! I just feel a bit lost here.
