I'm considering whether to just upgrade my GPU or go for a whole new build. Ideally, I want to stick with an upgrade if it's viable. I play games at 1440p and I'm open to either AMD or Nvidia options. Here's what I'm currently working with:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
- **Motherboard:** MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK
- **Memory:** Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB DDR4-3600
- **Video Card:** NVIDIA Founders Edition GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
- **Power Supply:** EVGA 650 GQ 650 W 80+ Gold Certified
- **Monitor:** Dell G2724D 27.0" 2560 x 1440 165 Hz Monitor
What GPU upgrades would you recommend for my setup?

Don't underestimate the 5700X; it's still a decent CPU! If you're looking for even more power, consider upgrading to a 9070, which could provide a significant boost. And if you're feeling ambitious, you could wait for the Zen 6 series next year or even consider the potential of the AM6 platform with DDR6!
Upgrading to a 5070 or 9070 would be a solid choice and your Ryzen 7 5700X should handle it well at 1440p and 165Hz. I definitely don't think you need to build a new PC with your current parts. If you're aiming for something between those models, go for it!
You should be fine with your current setup, especially since your PC is quite similar to mine. I plan to grab a 5070 or 5070 Ti soon too. Just a heads-up, you might want to consider a power supply upgrade eventually since 650W could be a bit low for newer GPUs, but it should work for the 5070!
That's a good point! I checked, and my PSU is rated at 444W for a build with a 5070.
Yeah, a 5070 or Ti, or even a 9070 or XT should work without any major issues. Your CPU is still good for 1440p gaming!
Totally agree with that! A 5070 or 5070 Ti will work great.
